Privacy Policy
Flatly ("the app") is operated by PA Tools. This page describes what data the app handles when you install it on your Shopify store, and what it deliberately does not.
The short version: your images are processed in your own browser tab and never pass through our servers. We store only the minimum the app needs to work: your shop domain, the access token Shopify issues, and a record of what was optimized so you can restore it. We do not collect any personal information about your customers.
What we store
- Your shop domain and the API access token Shopify issues to the app. These are required for the app to function.
- Optimization records: product image IDs, filenames, file sizes before and after, and the ID of the backup file saved to your store's Files. These power the History and Restore features.
- A monthly count of optimized images, used to enforce the free plan limit.
What we do not collect
- No personal information about your customers — no names, emails, addresses, orders, or browsing data.
- No image files. Optimization runs in your browser; images upload directly from your browser to Shopify's storage. Our servers never receive, process, or store your image files.
- No payment details. Subscriptions are billed entirely through Shopify's billing system.
Where backups live
Before an image is replaced, the original is saved to your own store's Files section. Backups belong to your store, not to us — they remain in your store even if you uninstall the app.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Stored data is used only to provide the app's features.
Data retention and deletion
- When you uninstall the app, Shopify revokes its access token.
- When Shopify sends the
shop/redactnotification after uninstall, we permanently delete all data associated with your store from our systems. - You can also request deletion at any time by emailing support@patools.kr.
GDPR and privacy requests
Because the app stores no customer personal data, Shopify's customer data request and customer erasure notifications require no action — there is nothing to return or erase. Store-level data is erased as described above.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and note material changes inside the app.
